There is nothing quite like the joy of a family portrait.

A family portrait on the wall of your home provides daily enjoyment and emotional fulfillment on a deep level.

Just as important as the beauty of the portrait itself is the fact that you can take pride in that handmade canvas having far more longevity than untrustworthy electronic files that are here today and gone tomorrow.

The portrait above is shown in a classic style which we call Signature Color.  Everyone facing the camera, perfectly color coordinated and looking their absolute best.

This style is absolutely perfectly suited to a hand printed canvas presentation - but it is not the only type of family portrait.  Just as in most things in life, there are choices in portraiture that reflect the moment and mood of the family at the time the portrait is created.

Take for example the image below:

This is also a family portrait, but it is completely different than the earlier color portrait.  It is focused on the arrival of the new member of the family!  Each family member is represented in the image, but no one is even looking at the camera.  The purpose of this portrait is to convey the emotional content of this moment in the family's life. This is a perfect example of our Relationship Black and White Portrait.  Often you will find this type of portrait as part of a collection reflecting intimate glimpses of the family's interaction with one another.

As in all artistic endeavors, there are no absolute rules to family portraits!
